A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law (Order of the Coif), where he was first in several of his classes, Phillips Exeter Academy and Trinity College, (BA), Hartford, Connecticut, Mr. Beautyman has conducted numerous trials around the country and has represented clients in mergers, acquisitions, and international transactions. In the healthcare field, he advises physicians, health care facilities and other providers in managed care contracting, the development of PSOs, provider sponsored PPOs, HMOs, physician networks, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate structuring, fraud and abuse, referral arrangements, stark, buy-ins and buy-outs, reimbursement and regulatory work. He was a national co-chair of the legal section of The IPA Association of America, a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, and served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Society of Healthcare Attorneys. In 2018, Mr. Beautyman was recognized as one of the "Top Lawyers of Pennsylvania" for "highest Ethical Standards and Professional Excellence."

Stephen Alvstad has been with Beautyman Alvstad, LLP since 2004. Mr. Alvstad graduated magna cum laude from Minot State University in Minot, N.D. in 2000, and received his J.D. from the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 2003, where he served on the law school's Journal of International and Comparative Law. He is a member of both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars. He focuses on litigation, regulations, and insurance work.
