A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law (Order of the
Coif), where he was first in several of his classes, Phillips Exeter
Academy and Trinity College, (BA), Hartford, Connecticut, Mr. Beautyman
represents corporations in mergers, acquisitions, and international
transactions, physicians, health care facilities and other providers
in managed care contracting, the development of PSOs, provider sponsored
PPOs, HMOs, physician networks, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures,
corporate structuring, fraud and abuse, referral arrangements, buy-ins
and buy-outs, reimbursement and regulatory work. He was a national
co-chair of the legal section of The IPA Association of America,
a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, and served
on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Society of Healthcare
Attorneys.
Michael
Beautyman and some of his colleagues
also provide comprehensive estate planning services to clients,
including preparation of wills, powers of attorney, tax and elder
care plans, trusts, and living wills that clarify the client’s
wishes on difficult health care and life support decisions. The
firm also assists clients with Executor, Trustee, IRA, Pension,
and Guardian matters, and with the resolution of elder care issues.
Stephen Alvstad, Esq. of Counsel
Stephen Alvstad has been of counsel to Beautyman Alvstad, LLP
since 2004. Mr. Alvstad graduated magna cum laude from
Minot State University in Minot, N.D. in 2000, and received his
J.D. from the Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in
2003, where he served on the law school's Journal of International
and Comparative Law. He is a member of both the Pennsylvania and
New Jersey bars.

Mr.
Mason graduated magna cum laude from the University of
Delaware in Newark, DE in 2005, earning degrees in both English
and Economics. He was the recipient of several writing awards and
was inducted into the honor societies of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi
Kappa Phi. He currently attends the University of Virginia School
of Law in Charlottesville, VA.
